Ms. Afra joined Healthpoint in 2018, working as a Dental Hygienist, having previously worked in a similar role at Mushairef Health Centre in Ajman.
A UAE national, Ms. Afra completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene (BAScDH) in 2017, from Higher Colleges of Technology, Sharjah Women College, before furthering her career and expertise. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
Dental charting, medical history, and infection control; rubber cup polishing, fluoride tray, calculus removal, and plaque removal; patient education in oral hygiene, treatment planning; dental radiographs and periodontal charting; ultrasonic scaling and pit and fissure sealant application; prophy jet air polishing; alginate impression and model preparation; teeth whitening and tray preparation.
Ms. Afra has participated in and volunteered for numerous health-related events, including the 2012-2013 breast cancer awareness and health week in Sharjah, the 2017-2018 World Government Summit in Dubai, the 2017-2018 UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) and the 2019-2020 Special Olympics.
