Healthpoint’s Ear, Nose and Throat Department (ENT) specializes in the evaluation and management of conditions of the head and neck and principally the ears, nose and throat as well as structures of the mouth and face, salivary glands and thyroid gland, in adults and children.

The conditions we treat include:

Cancers of the mouth, throat, and neck

The specialized treatments and services we offer include:

Speech Therapy
Otology
Cochlear Implant Surgery
Middle ear ossicles reconstruction (e.g., CO2-laser stapes surgery)
Reconstruction of the middle ear (Cholesteatoma surgery)

Tympanoplasty (replacement of eardrum and ossicles)

Pediatric Otology services include:

Foreign body extraction

Audiology lab services include:

ABR (auditory brainstem response), a safe and painless test to see how the hearing nerves and brain respond to sounds. The test is used with children or others who cannot complete a typical hearing screening.
Audiometry (hearing test)
Hearing aid fitting and maintenance
Otoacoustic emissions (testing of cells for hearing)
Tympanometry (middle ear pressure test)

Vestibular lab (assessment of dizziness, imbalance, and vertigo) services include:

Caloric (temperature) testing of the balance system
Rotary chair (to be available soon – need to check status) for the purpose of rotational testing of the inner ear or neurological system
Video-Nystagmo-Graphy (VNG) and Head Impulse Test (HIT)

Rhinology (nose and sinus problems) treatments include:

Orbital decompression (Grave’s Disease)
Polypectomy (removal of nasal polyps)
Septoplasty (correction/straightening of nasal wall)
Sinus surgery (operation of nasal sinuses)
Treatment of nose bleeding (epistaxis)
Turbinoplasty (reduction of nasal turbinates)

Throat/Laryngology (fiber endoscopic assessments) include:

Ablation of vascular anomalies with laser
Adenoidectomy (removal of adenoids)
Excision of mucosal change in the oral cavity
Microlaryngoscopic removal of nodules/polyps with or without laser
Tonsillectomy (removal of tonsils)
Vocal cord surgery

Facial plastic surgery includes:

Pinnaplasty/Otoplasty (correction of protruding ears)
Septorhinoplasty (correction of cartilaginous and bony nasal structures)

Head and neck treatments include:

Biopsy/Excision of lymph nodes (neck dissection)
Excision of cysts (lateral and medial branchial cysts, Ranula)

Drug-induced sleep endoscopy (assessment of obstructive sleep disorders)
