Dr. Zeeshan Karim Ahmad joined Healthpoint in 2022 as Head of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery & Dermatology. He brings a wealth of over 19 years of clinical experience to the role, covering a wide range of sub-specialties encompassing both aesthetic and reconstructive issues. Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Zeeshan worked at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, UK and in Qatar where he performed the first ever nerve reconstruction case in 2021.
He is a pioneer in minimally invasive aesthetic surgery and is a key opinion leader in the GCC. Furthermore, Dr. Zeeshan has multiple reconstructive interests including post-bariatric reconstruction, orthoplastic reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, hand surgery, pediatric plastic surgery as well as complex soft tissue reconstruction surgery for cancer, trauma and burns patients.
With over 40 peer-reviewed papers to his name and multiple international presentations as invited speaker, Dr. Zeeshan is a respected academic surgical innovator.
Always at the forefront of ground-breaking techniques, Dr. Zeeshan has performed several complex reconstruction cases in the GCC, combining the newest technology as well as his own unique surgical insights.
Dr. Zeeshan undertook his medical training at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Medical School, King’s College London in 2005. He completed his basic surgical training in Oxford and Wessex and subsequently trained in the West Midlands Plastic Surgery training scheme, renowned for academic and clinical rigor. He has been taught by world experts in various subspecialties and has trained in the UK, Australia, the Netherlands and South Korea.
Dr. Zeeshan will be offering new techniques and procedures rarely done in the GCC as well as established non-surgical and surgical procedures.
