Dr. Farag has over 20 years of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with extensive expertise in musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and rehabilitation of orthopedic and neurological patients.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from Ain Shams University, Egypt, followed by an internship and Physical Medicine Residency at Ain Shams University Hospitals. He further enhanced his clinical knowledge through a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine and a Certificate of Completion of Training in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (EULAR).
Dr. Farag has been instrumental in developing rehabilitation services in the UAE, including the establishment of the inpatient neuro-rehabilitation department and the implementation of telehealth and home care services at the Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre (DPRC) under Dubai Health. He is an active member of the Emirates Society of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine (ESRSM) and the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ISPRM).
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Farag served as a Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre (Dubai Health), UAE.
Dr. Farag’s scope of practice at Healthpoint includes assessment and management of musculoskeletal disorders, rehabilitation of sports injuries, ultrasound-guided soft tissue and intra-articular injections, and post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation plans.
Dr. Farag specializes in clinical evaluation and management of orthopedic and neurological patients, rehabilitation of sports-related injuries, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs, musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and guided injections, and prescribing orthotics and walking aids. He is actively engaged in creating individualized rehabilitation plans and ensuring optimal patient recovery.
