Dr. Statache is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist with more than 15 years of clinical expertise in the diagnosis and management of autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic diseases. She brings a strong subspecialty focus in early inflammatory arthritis, musculoskeletal imaging, and regenerative medicine, supported by extensive clinical and research experience.
She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, Bucharest, Romania, and completed her specialty training in Rheumatology under the Ministry of Health, Romania. Dr. Statache further advanced her qualifications with a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography from the University of East London, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Trials from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
Dr. Statache has held several academic and research-focused roles internationally. Her professional experience includes an EULAR Training Bursary at the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam, as well as a Novo Nordisk Research Arthritis Fellowship at the University of Glasgow, Institute of Inflammation, Infection and Immunity. She has been actively involved in clinical research and clinical trials and has contributed to the development of Fracture Liaison Services aimed at improving long-term musculoskeletal care.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, she worked as Consultant Rheumatologist at Yas Clinic Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Statache’s scope of practice at Healthpoint includes clinical rheumatology.
Dr. Statache specializes in autoimmune diseases, particularly Sjögren’s syndrome, early inflammatory arthritis, cell therapy and regenerative medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and capillaroscopy.
