Dr. Abraham, who joined Healthpoint in 2023, brings eight years of specialized experience in Internal Medicine. In 2010, she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College (Mahatma Gandhi University), India.
Continuing her medical journey, Dr. Abraham completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Loyola Medicine-MacNeal Hospital, Illinois, USA, in 2018. To further her expertise, she pursued a Fellowship Program in Rheumatology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Ohio, USA, from 2018 to 2020.
Before joining Healthpoint, Dr. Abraham served as a consultant rheumatologist at Unity Point Health in Illinois, USA. Her dedication extends beyond clinical practice, with active participation in research, quality improvement projects, and impactful contributions through publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Abraham's specialties include the diagnosis and management of various autoimmune conditions, ranging from systemic lupus erythematosus and systemic vasculitis to scleroderma, autoimmune myositis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and more.
Her expertise extends to inflammatory arthritis, crystal-induced arthropathies, vasculitis, systemic autoimmune and connective tissue diseases, inflammatory muscle diseases, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and peri-articular disorders. Additionally, she is well-versed in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including intra-articular injections and joint aspirations.
As an American board-certified specialist in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, Dr. Abraham is a distinguished Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (FACR). Her academic journey was marked by exemplary achievements, including securing the University's top rank, a gold medal, and the prestigious Best Outgoing Student Award for MBBS.
During her residency, she earned the esteemed American College of Physicians (ACP) Governor's Best Resident of the Year Award. Actively engaged in 'Doctors' Dilemma' competitions and contributing to quality improvement projects, she received the notable Nurses Choice Award for her exceptional collaboration, collegiality, and patient advocacy.
Her commitment to medical excellence resulted in numerous research and quality improvement projects throughout her residency and fellowship. She has also authored several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and multiple poster presentations at U.S. regional and national meetings.
