Dr. Bonela has over 12 years of experience in Radiology with extensive expertise across diagnostic imaging modalities.
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Radiodiagnosis from Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, India. He completed his Senior Residency at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, India, followed by an advanced fellowship in MRI Musculoskeletal Imaging (Medality, USA), a Mini Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging (Apollo Radiology International Academy, India), and a Fellowship in Paediatric Neuroimaging (Society of Paediatric Neuroimaging – SPIN).
Dr. Bonela is a certified Cardiac CT Angiography Reader (RCR UK Accredited, Level 1 & 2) and holds both the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) and is a Diplomate of the Indian College of Radiology and Imaging (ICRI). He has authored and presented multiple research papers in musculoskeletal, body, and neuroradiology imaging and has been actively involved in imaging protocol optimization and departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Bonela served as a Specialist Radiologist at Yas Clinic Hospital-ADSCC, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Dr. Bonela’s scope of practice includes comprehensive diagnostic radiology across all modalities, with a primary focus on musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology, body imaging, and cardiac CT angiography.
Dr. Bonela specializes in musculoskeletal imaging, including sports injuries, degenerative, infectious, inflammatory, and postoperative bone and joint disorders. His expertise extends to neuroradiology, cardiac CT angiography, and advanced cross-sectional imaging. He is also actively engaged in multidisciplinary case discussions, imaging protocol development, and radiology training.
