Dr. Dekis, who recently joined Healthpoint, brings over 14 years of specialized experience in internal medicine and over 11 years of experience in rheumatology. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Laval University, Canada, in 2009, setting the foundation for her distinguished medical career.
After completing her residency training in Internal Medicine at McGill University, Canada, from 2009 to 2012, Dr. Dekis pursued a one-year fellowship in Rheumatoid Arthritis at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2019.
Prior to joining Healhtpoint, Dr. Dekis served as a Consultant Rheumatologist at Centre Medical Avicenne, Quebec, Canada.
Dr. Dekis expertise spans a comprehensive spectrum of rheumatological conditions, encompassing early undifferentiated arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spondylarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, polymyalgia rheumatica, Behcet's disease, myositis, reactive arthritis, crystal arthritis, and mechanical joint pain.
Additionally, with the intention of taking a holistic approach to patient care and diagnostic precision, she is an expert in musculoskeletal ultrasonography for the early detection of inflammatory arthritis.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Dekis has been recognized for her commitment to excellence resulting in several notable awards, including the Specialist Certificate in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2013.
