Dr. Ehab Abdelaty has more than 35 years of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Abdelaty possesses extensive expertise in pain management, sports rehabilitation, and neurological rehabilitation. He is highly experienced in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, with a special interest in electrodiagnostic medicine, focal spasticity management, and interventional rehabilitation procedures.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from Alexandria University, Egypt, where he also completed his Internship and Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Alexandria University Hospitals. He further advanced his clinical and academic expertise through a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, USA.
Throughout his career, Dr. Abdelaty has made significant contributions to the advancement of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the UAE. He is the Founder and Head of the Emirates Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (2004) and was nominated by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Creative Employee in recognition of establishing the Motor Laboratory for Gait and Postural Analysis and Rehabilitation at Rashid Hospital. He also received the Egyptian University Award for the Double Channel Doctoral Program, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence and innovation in rehabilitation medicine.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Abdelaty served as a Consultant Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Al Rahba Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he provided comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, and sports-related conditions.
Dr. Abdelaty’s scope of practice at Healthpoint includes pain management, sports rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, electrodiagnostic medicine, and focal spasticity management, delivering individualized rehabilitation programs to help patients restore function and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Abdelaty specializes in neurorehabilitation, including Botulinum toxin injections and carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) injections, as well as musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation. His expertise includes intra-articular and periarticular injections, tender and trigger point injections, electrodiagnostic studies, and comprehensive rehabilitation programs for neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
