Dr. Thompson has over 16 years of medical experience, spanning both civilian and military healthcare systems and environments.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), as well as an intercalated Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Sciences, from Imperial College, London in the UK.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Thompson worked at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, a major NHS trust in London. As a former medical officer with the Royal Marines, he brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the department.
Dr. Thompson has organized international conferences on Bariatric and Obesity Anesthesia and trained over 1,000 anesthetists over the past seven years. He is a regular speaker and educator at various international conferences, including those organized by the Association of Anesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland and the European Society of Anesthesia.
Dr. Thompson’s scope of practice encompasses leadership in anesthesia, ICU and pain management. He specializes in bariatric, pediatric and regional anesthesia, as well as intensive care medicine and scoliosis surgery. He oversees safety protocols and patient care standards, drawing on his experience in diverse healthcare settings to enhance his clinical competencies.
