Dr. Iman Esmat is a Specialist Cardiologist at Healthpoint Hospital, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care with a particular focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of heart disease in patients with diabetes and other metabolic conditions. She has extensive experience in managing complex cardiovascular disorders and delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Dr. Esmat graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She subsequently completed both a Master of Science (MSc) in Cardiology and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Cardiology.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Esmat spent more than a decade practising in Abu Dhabi at renowned hospitals, including Medeor Hospital and Reem Hospital. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in developing cardiology services and improving access to specialised cardiovascular care.
Her scope of practice includes hypertension, including all forms of high blood pressure; hyperlipidaemia and lipid disorders; cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation; coronary artery disease assessment, medical management and long-term follow-up; heart valve disorders; congestive heart failure and comprehensive heart failure management; electrocardiography (ECG); echocardiography; cardiac stress testing; Holter monitoring; and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
