Dr. James, an Anesthesiologist with a decade of experience, recently joined Healthpoint from Aneurin Bevan University Healthboard in South Wales, UK. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree with honors from The University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, in 2010.
Her journey as an Anesthesiologist continued with the completion of the Anesthetic Specialty Training Program from 2013 to 2023 at Health Education and Improvement Wales, where she worked across prestigious university hospitals and specialist critical care centers in South Wales. Dr. James received the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Anesthetics upon successfully concluding her training.
Dr. James specializes in orthopedic and regional anesthesia, as well as multimodal pain management. She has experience of providing anesthesia for a wide range of surgical specialties, in both the elective and emergency care settings. Dr. James is proficient in providing perioperative care for the majority of the patient population.
In December 2016, Dr. James received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Building on this achievement, she pursued an additional fellowship in clinical leadership and management, securing a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice (Clinical Leadership) with distinction in February 2019 from the University of Wales, Trinity St David.
Building on her academic career, Dr. James was appointed as Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, United Kingdom, where she played a key role in shaping the undergraduate leadership curriculum for medical students.
Furthermore, she has made notable contributions to research, particularly in the field of obstetric hemorrhage and the application of artificial intelligence in supporting ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia.
