Dr. Hamdan has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery and has so far performed a wide range of advanced laparoscopic procedures. For 8 years, Dr. Hamdan worked in large teaching hospitals in the UK where he held several positions as a Consultant General, gastric and Bariatric Surgeon.
Dr. Hamdan has a strong academic and scientific background with a doctorate thesis on the early detection of cancer, several research projects and publications, and numerous lectures in national and international conferences in Britain. He has a special interest in how to avoid and treat complications after weight loss surgery and he recently co-authored a book titled ‘Bariatric Surgery: From indications to postoperative care’.
Dr. Khaled Hamdan believes that providing safe and effective care for patients in general and for patients undergoing obesity surgery in particular requires a multidisciplinary and experienced team, which ensures that patients receive comprehensive support throughout their treatment and until recovery and helps them realize the potential of obesity surgery.
