Dr AlHadad is a Consultant in Bariatric and General Surgery, and is the Head of the Center of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, a designated Centre of Excellence in Healthpoint. He is an SRC-accredited Master Surgeon who works closely with our partners at Imperial College London Diabetes Centre.
A graduate of the University of Baghdad’s College of Medicine, Dr AlHadad is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He also holds a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dr AlHadad has extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic, bariatric and upper gastrointestinal surgery. He has directed and instructed more than 200 courses covering basic and advanced laparoscopy, bariatrics, and trauma management, both in the UAE and internationally. For many years, he sat on the advisory board for UAE University’s general surgery residency program. His research on bariatric surgery, endoscopy and trauma management has been published in peer-reviewed journals many times.
