Dr. Mohanna has over 23 years of experience in Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Mohanna possesses extensive expertise in advanced prosthodontic rehabilitation, dental implantology, and digital dentistry. He is highly experienced in managing complex restorative and implant cases, with a strong focus on full-mouth rehabilitation, aesthetic dentistry, and digitally guided treatment workflows.
He earned his Bachelor in Dental Science (BDS) from the University of Dublin, Ireland, and completed his Internship with the Ministry of Health, UAE. He subsequently obtained his Master of Science (MSc) in Prosthetic Dentistry from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Dr. Mohanna further advanced his expertise through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Maxicourse in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry at the Global Institute for Dental Education (gIDE).
Throughout his career, Dr. Mohanna has played an active role in advancing prosthodontic and implant dentistry in the UAE. He has served as a mentor to dental graduate prosthodontists in implant rehabilitation and has been a speaker and educator on digital prosthodontics and full-mouth implant workflows. He is also recognized as an early adopter of fully digital implant planning and CAD/CAM prosthetic workflows in the UAE, with over two decades of clinical experience across both public and private healthcare sectors.
Prior to joining, Dr. Mohanna served as a Specialist Dentist, Prosthodontist and Implantologist at Al Bahia Healthcare Center, SEHA Clinics, Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he provided comprehensive prosthodontic and implant rehabilitation services.
Dr. Mohanna’s scope of practice at Healthpoint includes crown and bridge restorations, dental implants, and full-mouth rehabilitation, with a focus on restoring oral function, aesthetics, and patient confidence through advanced restorative solutions.
Dr. Mohanna specializes in dental implant surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation, including single-tooth, multiple-unit, and full-arch implant reconstruction. His expertise includes full-mouth rehabilitation for worn and compromised dentition, digital dentistry workflows such as intraoral scanning, digital smile design, CAD/CAM restorations, and computer-guided implant surgery. He is also experienced in fixed prosthodontics, including veneers, onlays, and aesthetic restorations, as well as TMJ and jaw pain management through occlusal therapy and functional rehabilitation.
