Dr. Oliver Keane has 15 years of expertise in anesthetics.
Dr. Keane earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, UK, in 2007. He subsequently completed his comprehensive medical training in London, beginning with the Foundation and Core Training Programs at prestigious institutions like St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Royal London Hospital by 2013. Dr. Keane further specialized in anesthetics, undergoing Higher Anesthetics Specialist Training from 2013 to 2019 at renowned hospitals such as King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and Evelina Children’s Hospital. During this time, he also completed Advanced Training Fellowships in Advanced Airway Management (Guy’s Hospital), Paediatric Anaesthesia (Evelina Children’s Hospital), and Medical Education (King’s College Hospital).
Upon completion of his training, Dr. Keane was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK, since 2014.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Keane worked as a Substantive Consultant Anaesthetist at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, UK, where he provided care for patients of all ages, handling a wide range of cases, across a diverse population. He brings extensive experience from holding several departmental and organizational-level leadership roles. Additionally, he has been Director of Regional Courses in Anesthesia and Leadership, as well as faculty on national and international courses on advanced airway management. He is well-published in peer-reviewed journals, predominantly in advanced airway management and medical education.
Dr. Keane’s scope of practice includes perioperative care, general and regional anesthesia for all ages, across a wide range of procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout.
Dr. Keane ’s expertise encompasses a diverse range of specialties within anesthesiology. His field of expertise includes advanced airway management, anesthesia for head, neck, and airway surgery, pediatric anesthesia, and resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill adults and children. He is also highly skilled in medical education and medical equipment management.
