Dr. Kare joined Healthpoint in 2022. He obtained his MBBS from Bangalore University, India and his MD in Anesthesia from Bai Yamunabai Laxman Nair Hospitals, Mumbai, India. He has more than 21 years of experience in perioperative care and anesthesia for various specialties.
Prior to relocating to the UAE, he practiced at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in the UK for 10 years, working as a consultant from 2014. Before moving to the UK, he worked as a cardiac anesthetist at Manipal Heart Foundation, India, after completing a post-doctoral course in Neurocardiac Anesthesia at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology in 2003. He gained his MD in anesthesia from BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai, India in 2002.
Dr. Kare’s focus areas comprise of pain management including spinal pain, post-surgical pain issues, facial pain, and headaches. He believes in a balanced approach to persistent pain management and actively involving patients in the decision-making process about their care. He has also managed patients needing intrathecal drug delivery devices for cancer, MS and spasticity.
Dr. Kare, a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in London, UK, has served as faculty on numerous pain and anesthesia courses, including the London Society of Regional Anaesthesia (LSORA). He has presented at various national and international meetings over the years. He is also a member of the Association of Anaesthetists, UK and Ireland, as well as the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and the British Pain Society.
