Dr. Sadia Ghaffar joined Healthpoint in 2022 bringing over 13 years of experience to her role. Dr. Sadia completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009 from the University of Dundee, and became a member of the Royal Colleges of Anaesthetists in 2011. She completed her FRCA examinations between 2012 to 2014. Prior to joining Healthpoint in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Sadia worked as a Consultant Anesthetist at St. John’s Hospital in Scotland. She has experience in Vascular Anesthesia, general surgery and orthopedics at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and Pediatric Anesthesia at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.
Dr. Sadia’s specialties include vascular anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, head and neck anesthesia, intensive care medicine, and general and obstetric anesthesia.
Dr. Sadia has won multiple academic distinctions and awards, including distinctions at medical school in 2008 and 2009, best case report poster at the annual GAT conference 2013, best audit submission at the annual Scottish Intensive Care Society Audit Group (SICSAG) conference 2013, and first prize for quality improvement poster at DAS ASM 2018. She has also published in British Journal of Anaesthesia, European Journal of Anaesthesiology, Emergency Medicine Journal, and current opinion in critical care.
