Dr. Alowais has more than 10 years of experience in dermatology and venereology, with a particular interest and knowledge in occupational dermatology. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Gulf Medical University, UAE, in 2007. After graduation, he completed his residency training program in dermatology and venereology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, UAE, from 2008 to 2012. He also completed his Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology from Cardiff University, UK, in 2022.
Dr. Alowais also works as a Medical Advisor at Nawah Energy Company in the UAE, providing health awareness and wellness promotion programs for nuclear industry employees. He is an active member of the Emirates Red Crescent Society and volunteering in humanitarian relief missions.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Alowais held positions at various prestigious institutions in Abu Dhabi, serving as a medical doctor at both ADNOC and the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
His scope of practice includes general and aesthetic dermatology.
With expertise spanning general skin, hair and nail disorders, Dr. Alowais specializes in advanced treatment plans for both cosmetic enhancement and functional dermatological issues. His practice focuses on non-invasive procedures such as injectables, skin biopsies and laser treatments. His specialized knowledge extends to allergy and immunology dermatology, as well as occupational dermatology. He is also experienced in treating conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, vitiligo and autoimmune disorders. His commitment to clinical research and ongoing medical education ensures he delivers cutting-edge care in cosmetic dermatology, including Botox and dermal fillers and laser resurfacing techniques.
