Dr. Sheik Ryaz Yaseen joined Healthpoint in 2022 bringing over 17 years of experience to his role. Dr. Sheik obtained his medical degree, at the University of Debrecen, Hungary in 2002. Prior to joining Healthpoint in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Sheik worked as a Senior Consultant Neurologist, in the Department of Neurology, Oslo University Hospital, Norway.
Dr. Sheik specializes in headaches, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuropathies, neuromuscular disorders such as motor neuron disease and neuroimmunology diseases, and management of multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders. In addition, he has specialized in ultrasound and EMG-guided Botulinum toxin injection treatment of various disorders like dystonia, spasticity, sialorrhea, and chronic migraine.
Dr. Sheik has authored several medical articles for science journals and holds memberships with the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), the Norwegian Neurological Association and the Norwegian Medical Association. Dr. Sheik is a Board-Certified Neurologist, in Norway and is a registered Dubai Healthcare Professional.
