Dr. Battibugli has more than 20 years of experience in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Battibugli possesses extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, and sports-related musculoskeletal conditions in children. She is highly experienced in both surgical and non-surgical treatment approaches, with a special interest in pediatric hip disorders, limb deformity correction, and neuromuscular conditions.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Catholic University of Campinas, Brazil, followed by an Orthopedic Residency and advanced training in Pediatric Orthopedics at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. She further enhanced her expertise through international fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedics at Chicago Children’s Hospital, USA, and Shriners Hospitals for Children, Lexington, Kentucky, USA. In addition, she completed postgraduate training in Translational Surgery and Scientific Research at the Federal University of São Paulo.
Throughout her career, Dr. Battibugli has been actively involved in advancing pediatric orthopedic education and clinical practice. She currently serves as Chair of Education (2022–2026) for the Middle East Pediatric Orthopedic Society (MEPOS), where she leads educational initiatives, webinar programs, and scientific curriculum development. She has also been a member of the organizing committee for multiple MEPOS conferences across the Middle East. Since 2017, she has played a leading role in implementing infant hip ultrasound screening programs for the early diagnosis and prevention of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). Her international fellowship training has further strengthened her expertise in managing complex pediatric orthopedic conditions and fostering international collaboration.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Battibugli served as a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon at Harley Street Medical Centre, Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Reem Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she provided specialized pediatric orthopedic care.
Dr. Battibugli’s scope of practice at Healthpoint includes the management of pediatric neuromuscular conditions, congenital and developmental musculoskeletal disorders, pediatric sports injuries, pediatric limb deformity correction, and the early diagnosis and prevention of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH).
Dr. Battibugli specializes in the comprehensive evaluation and management of pediatric musculoskeletal disorders, including congenital and developmental orthopedic conditions, pediatric neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida, pediatric fracture care, sports-related injuries, hip preservation and reconstructive surgery, and foot and ankle deformity correction. Her expertise also includes Single Event Multilevel Surgery (SEMLS), deformity correction, early DDH diagnosis through ultrasound screening, and multidisciplinary postoperative rehabilitation planning.
