Lamees has 20 years of medical experience in dietetics.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition, (BSc) from Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 2005. She then achieved the title of Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor in 2018, Florida, US. Lamees has served as the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND) UAE Country Representative for three years. She is also an esteemed reviewer for the Obesity Surgery Journals, the official journal of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Lamees worked as a Clinical Dietitian at the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Lamees’ scope of practice encompasses pre-and post-operative care for bariatric patients, sports nutrition, weight management, lymphedema, lipedema, celiac disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and kidney stones.
Her expertise includes bariatric surgeries, weight management and a focus on exercise physiology and sports nutrition.
