Nesma joined Healthpoint in 2023. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Services from Zayed University and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from United Arab Emirates University. She has extensive experience in offering clients evidence-based treatments to help them overcome psychological challenges.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, she worked at Priory Wellbeing Centre (now Aspris Wellbeing Centre) in Abu Dhabi. Her key responsibilities included making assessments and interpretations based on biopsychosocial evaluations, psychometric tests, semi-structured interviews, therapy sessions and neuropsychological assessments. Before that, she worked at the KidsHeart Medical Center in Abu Dhabi where she provided psychological treatment to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.
Dedicated to improving mental well-being, Nesma has a wealth of expertise and a passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives. Her impressive background encompasses a wide range of therapeutic approaches, from psychometric assessments to group and individual psychotherapy, all the way to cutting-edge teletherapy. She's a specialist in helping people dealing with adjustment disorder, eating disorders, major depressive disorder, general anxiety disorder, mood disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Nesma’s passion for staying at the forefront of the mental health landscape is evident through her participation in prestigious events like the Emirates Society of Mental Health International Conference in October 2020, the International Society of Addiction Medicine Conference in 2017, and the International Psychology Conference Dubai in 2016.
Nesma has continued to build on her passion, she has done so by undertaking courses like the Adult Mental Health First Aid certification in August 2018, to further her continuous pursuit of knowledge and expertise. This is also exemplified by her participation in the Matrix Program workshop with ISAM in 2017.
